Travel itinerary

1. Day: Arrival Belgrade

Arrival at Belgrade and transfer to our Hotel. Dinner and overnight in Belgrade

2. Day: Belgrade

On our full day city tour we see the highlights of the Serbian capital. Including the landmark of the city, the Belgrade fortress Kalemegdan, villas of different periods, some of the countless churches and the most beautiful parks in the city. Dinner and overnight in Belgrade

3. Day: Belgrade – Nis – Skopje

After breakfast we leave Belgrade. We stop in the city of Nis, where the unique fortress with Hammam, Mosque and amphitheatre awaits us. After lunch we continue to the Macedonian Capital Skopje. Dinner and overnight in Skopje

4. Day: Skopje

After breakfast we take a detailed city tour of the Macedonian capital. Skopje fascinates with a variety of architecture. We will see the Muslim quarters with his huge Bazaar. Fortress Kale as well as the "modern" Skopje on the other side of the River Vardar. In the afternoon trip to the Matka Canyon, where a unique natural spectacle awaits us. The evening we enjoy a typical Macedonian meal with traditional music. Overnight in Skopje.

5. Day: Skopje – Mavrovo – Debar - Ohrid

In the morning we leave Skopje and go within Mavrovo. Unique natural landscapes with many 2000s peaks accompany us. We reach the city Debar, where we have the possibility for lunch. Continue through Struga we arrive in the UNESCO City of Ohrid. Dinner and overnight in Ohrid.

6. Day: Ohrid

We spend the day in this unique city. We start the tour with a small boat ride at the Ohrid Lake, one of the deepest lakes in the world. The Church of St. John is probably the best eye-catcher, here we leave the ship and continue by foot through the old town, we see the Samuel fortress and many churches and monasteries. There are indeed more than 365 of all around Ohrid. Enjoy your freetime in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Ohrid.

7. Day: Ohrid – Sveti Naum – Brajcino - Bitola

First we go to Sveti Naum. We take a romantic trip with a row boat on a small lake that feeds the Lake Ohrid from underground sources. Then we visit the unique Sveti Naum monastery, near the Albanian border. Then we leave the Ohrid Lake and go to Brajcino, a showcase of the gentle nature tourism. A small hike along the wild rivers shows us the uniqueness of the region near the Greek border. In the afternoon we reach the city of Bitola, the former main city of the country at the time of the Ottoman Empire. Numerous pompous buildings such as the lovely pedestrian zone enchant us. 8. Day: Bitola – Prilep - Strumica

In the morning we leave Bitola and visit the "hanging" monastery of Archangel Michael in Prilep, built like a bird's nest in the rocks. A wine tasting in the area of Kavadarci awaits us for lunch. Macedonia is indeed a famous wine country. Then we proceed to our hotel in Berovo. Dinner and overnight in Berovo

9. Day: Strumica – Rila – Sofia

In the morning we visit the famous waterfalls near the city of Strumica. Then we proceed to the Bulgarian border. A further highlight of the trip is a visit to the famous Rila monastery, UNESCO World Heritage. In the evening we reach our hotel in the region of Sofia. Dinner and overnight in Sofia

10. Day: Sofia – Belgrade

In the morning we take a detailed city tour in the Bulgarian capital, the landmark of the city, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is of course in our program. Then it's slowly time to think on the journey home. Journey to the Serbian border and further to our hotel in Belgrade. Dinner and overnight in Belgrade
