1. Day: Arrival in Sofia
Flight to Sofia. On our city tour we see highlights such as the Turkish mosque, Boyana church or the symbol of the city, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Sofia.
2. Day: Sofia – Rila – Melnik
Today we visit the famous Rila Monastery, one of the largest Orthodox monasteries and UNESCO World Heritage site. Then journey in the town of Melnik, the smallest town in Bulgaria. Here we take a break and enjoy the historic sites of the city, at least 96 houses are protected. Then we'll visit the fortress of Melnik, which is a cultural monument of national importance in Bulgaria. In the evening we reach our hotel in room Melnik. Dinner and overnight in Melnik.
3. Day: Melnik – Thessaloniki – Kalampaka
In the morning we leave Bulgaria and drive south to Thessaloniki. On our city tour we see highlights such as the town's landmark, the White Tower, monuments from the Roman and Byzantine periods and some of the many churches of the city and others. In the afternoon we visit the archaeological site of Pella, birthplace and Government city of Alexander the Great. Then journey to our hotel in the area of Kalampaka. Dinner and overnight in Kalampaka
4. Day: Kalampaka – Meteora – Ioannina – Kalampaka
After breakfast drive to the famous Meteora monasteries. A unique panorama awaits us. The whole area of the monasteries is UNESCO World Heritage site. Total consists of 24 monasteries and hermitages, of which 6 are now inhabited. After a guided tour of one of the monasteries drive to Ioannina. Here we visit the Citadel with the mausoleum of Ali Pasha and take a walk through the old town. Then drive back to our hotel in Kalampáka. Dinner and overnight in Kalampaka.
5. Day: Ioannina – Bitola – Ohrid
Today we leave Greece and drive to the Macedonian border. After a short drive we reach Bitola - former City of diplomats during the Ottoman Empire, the second largest city in Macedonia. After a city tour trip to Ohrid, alongside the Pelister National Park to the National Park Galicica. We visit one of the most important monasteries of the country, Sveti Naum. On a boat trip, we see the underground springs of the Ohrid Lake. Then drive to our hotel in Ohrid. Dinner and overnight in Ohrid.
6. Day: Ohrid
Today is dominated by the UNESCO world heritage city of Ohrid, the sacred Center of Orthodox churches. Not less than 365 churches and monasteries are located in the area of Ohrid. On a boat trip, we see the unique panorama along the deepest lake in Europe. During the subsequent visit we see King Samuel fortress and the charming old town with its unique charm. The afternoon is for your own inquiries available. Go shopping or have a good coffee on the lake shore relax. Dinner and Overnight in Ohrid.
7. Day: Ohrid – Tetovo – Skopje
In the morning we leave Ohrid and pass through a magical mountain landscape of the Mavrovo National Park to Tetovo. Here we visit the "colorful" mosque, a unique building. Then drive to Skopje, here we explore the "modern" and the "old" Skopje. Including Mother Teresa House, Fortress Kale, Bazaar. The evening awaits us a typical Macedonian dinner with music. Overnight in Skopje.
