Travel itinerary

1. Day: Flight to Dubrovnik/Tivat/Podgorica – Petrovac

Flight to Dubrovnik, Podgorica or Tivat. Then we visit the famous seaside town of Budva, where we take a stroll. Then transfer to our hotel in Petrovac. Dinner and overnight

2. Day: Petrovac – Stari Bar – Shkodra – Tirana – Durres

After breakfast journey to the city Bar. After visiting the old town of Stari Bar we reach the Albanian border. Lunch break in Shkoder city, then travel to Tirana. We see many interesting buildings on a panoramic tour. Dinner and overnight in Durrës.

3. Day: Durres – Ohrid – Bitola

In the morning trip to the Macedonian border and to Ohrid. We visit the UNESCO protected city, starting with a short boat ride. Then continue on foot, exploring the main buildings and churches of the city. In the evening we reach our hotel in the second largest city in Macedonia in Bitola. Dinner and overnight in Bitola

4. Day: Bitola – Heraklea – Ioannina – Kalampáka

After breakfast we visit the ruins of Heraclea Lincestis, a city of ancient Macedonians founded by Filip II. Then we pass the Greek border and visit the famous city of Ioannina. Here we visit the Citadel with the mausoleum of Ali Pasha and take a walk through the old town. Further journey to Kalampáka to our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Kalampáka

5. Day: Kalampáka – Meteora – Thessaloniki

Another highlight of the journey awaits us. After breakfast trip to the famous Meteora monasteries. A unique setting awaits us. The whole area of the monasteries is UNESCO World Heritage site. Total consists of 24 monasteries and hermitages, of which 6 are now inhabited. In the afternoon journey to Thessaloniki. We check in in our hotel in the area of Thessaloniki. Dinner and overnight

6. Day: Thessaloniki – Pella – Melnik

On our early morning city tour we see highlights such as the town's landmark, the White Tower, monuments from the Roman and Byzantine periods and some of the many churches of the city. Then we'll visit the archaeological site of Pella, birthplace and Government city of Alexander the Great. Proceed to the Greek-Bulgarian border to our hotel in Melnik. Dinner and overnight

7. Day: Melnik – Rila – Sofia

Visit at the town of Melnik, the smallest town. Here we take a break and enjoy the historic sites of the city, at least 96 houses are protected. Visit the fortress of Melnik, which is a cultural monument of national importance in Bulgaria. Then drive to the famous Rila Monastery, one of the largest Orthodox monasteries and UNESCO World Heritage site. In the evening we reach our hotel in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. Dinner and overnight

8. Day: Sofia - Departure

Half-day panoramic city tour of Sofia with Cathedral Alexandar Nevski, then transfer to the airport and departure.
