Travel itinerary

1. Day: Arrival in Montenegro - Budva

Flight to Dubrovnik, Tivat or Podgorica. Then we visit the famous seaside town of Budva, where we take a stroll. Then transfer to our hotel in Budva-Becici. Dinner and overnight

2. Day: Petrovac - Podgorica - Tara Canyon - Kolasin

In the morning we visit the capital of Montenegro - Podgorica. After a informative tour we have a spectacular ride to the Tara Canyon - the second deepest Canyon in the world, after the Grand Canyon. Numerous photo stops and short walk distances show the uniqueness of the region. Near the National Park Biogradska Gora, we reach our hotel in the region of Kolasin. Dinner and overnight

3. Day: Kolasin - Pecs - Prishtina - Skopje

After breakfast journey to the Kosovar border. After the visit at the city of Pécs we reach the capital of Kosovo - Prishtina, today presented a completely new, modern look. Then we cross the border with Macedonia and reach Skopje. By our city tour we see the old town with fortress kale and the famous Bazaar as the new town with the Mother Teresa House. In the evening we have a typical Macedonian dinner with music in a restaurant. Overnight in Skopje

4. Day: Skopje - Mavrovo - Ohrid

We leave Skopje and reach the Mavrovo National Park in the West of the country. Unique nature awaits us. At Lake Debar, we have the possibility for a lunch before we reach the UNESCO City of Ohrid in the afternoon. First, we experience the city during a boat ride from the water before we further explore the centuries-old monuments on foot. Dinner and overnight stay in our hotel in Ohrid.

5. Day: Ohrid - Galicica - Brajcino - Bitola

Another highlight of the journey awaits us. We go to the National Park Galicica which limited the Ohrid Lake on one side and go about 1000 metres above sea level. The panoramic view is unique. On the other hand down the Valley we behold the second big lake of region, Lake Prespa - idyllic located. We visit the village Brajcino, a successful example of eco-tourism and go then to the second largest city of Macedonia, Bitola, where we visit the excavations of Heraclea Lincestis, the birthplace of Filip II. Dinner and overnight in Bitola.

6. Day: Bitola - Prilep - Wine tasting- Strumica - Berovo

In the morning journey to Prilep, here we see the monastery of the Archangel Michael similar created as Greece Meteora monasteries. After this a lunch and a wine tasting of superb Macedonian wines with a snack awaits us. Strengthened we drive to the famous waterfalls near the city of Strumica before it goes to our hotel in Berovo. Dinner and overnight in Berovo.

7. Day: Berovo - Rila - Sofia

After breakfast, the path leads us to another part of untouched nature. Berovo Lake, idyllically embedded in a mountain panorama. Then we leave Macedonia and reach Bulgaria, where we visit the famous Rila Monastery in the afternoon. Transfer to our hotel in Sofia, dinner and overnight stay.

8. Day: Sofia - Departure

After breakfast panoramic city tour of Sofia with the Cathedral Alexandar Nevski, then transfer to the airport and departure.
