Information & Notes
General information about conditions and special features in the Balkans
Please note the following information:
-
There is currently a lot of construction activity in many places.
-
Short-notice program changes are possible, as local conditions (e.g., weather or infrastructure) can change rapidly. Should booked services be affected, we will arrange suitable alternatives on site.
-
The poor sound insulation in many hotels in the Balkans is often due to a combination of structural acoustic deficiencies and inadequate soundproofing.
-
The combination of high humidity and salty air promotes rust formation and changes in the structure of wooden furniture. This affects all buildings by the sea, including hotel rooms.
-
Some of the coaches used have toilets, but these are unusable due to the lack of hygienic infrastructure for cleaning – we plan enough breaks.
-
Please note that hotel pools are open seasonally.
-
The regional cuisine is traditionally served lukewarm – a culinary characteristic that is part of the country's typical food culture.
-
These points are not intended to discourage guests, but rather to help them realistically manage their expectations and enjoy a relaxed trip.
