Day 1 : Arrival in Belgrade
Flight to Belgrade. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Belgrade – Skopje
The day begins with a city tour of Belgrade, the vibrant capital of Serbia. The itinerary includes the metropolis's most important sights – among them the historic Kalemegdan Fortress, perched on a plateau overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. Accessible without a steep or strenuous climb, it nevertheless offers breathtaking views of the river landscape and the old town.
The tour then continues through the elegant pedestrian zone of Knez Mihailova, lined with stately 19th-century buildings, boutiques, galleries, and lively street cafes. Between squares, churches, and characteristic street scenes, the city's culturally diverse and dynamic character is revealed.
In the afternoon, we continue our journey to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Skopje – Ohrid
The day begins with a comprehensive tour of Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, a city of contrasts between tradition and modernity. In the Old Town, you will explore the Kale Fortress, the sprawling bazaar with its narrow streets and traditional craft shops, as well as numerous mosques and caravanserais. In the New Town, the impressive Alexander Fountain in the central square and the Mother Teresa House, which commemorates the city's most famous daughter, are particularly noteworthy.
In the afternoon, the route leads through the scenically stunning Mavrovo National Park, known for its mountains, forests, and lakes – a paradise for nature lovers. Arrival in the evening in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Ohrid, picturesquely situated on the lake of the same name.
Day 4: Ohrid – Tirana
The morning's program includes exploring the UNESCO World Heritage city of Ohrid – one of the oldest settlements in Europe and the cultural center of North Macedonia. A stroll through the old town offers magnificent views of Lake Ohrid. The tour includes visits to important buildings such as the Church of St. Periblebtos with its masterful frescoes, as well as the remains of ancient walls and Byzantine churches.
In the afternoon, continue your journey via Elbasan, a city steeped in tradition and with a turbulent history, to Tirana, the vibrant capital of Albania. Arrival and check-in at the hotel.
Day 5: Tirana – Kruja – Shkodra – Bar – Budva
The day begins with a drive to Kruja, the city of the Albanian national hero Skanderbeg. Perched high above the plains, it offers not only breathtaking views but also a vibrant piece of history. The Kruja fortress was once the center of Albanian resistance against the Ottomans. In the old town, amidst ancient stone houses, small craft shops, and an oriental atmosphere, the city's historical heritage can be experienced in a particularly impressive way.
Continue north to Shkodra, one of Albania's oldest cities and an important cultural center. The city is picturesquely situated between the Buna and Drin rivers, overlooking Lake Skadar . A visit to Rozafa Fortress, majestically perched atop a hill, offers a breathtaking panorama of the plains and surrounding waters. The legend of the woman walled up within its walls lends the fortress a mysterious atmosphere.
After crossing the border into Montenegro, the journey leads to the historic town of Stari Bar, whose ruins are steeped in history. Among weathered walls, ancient olive trees, and cobbled paths, life from centuries past becomes tangible. A walk through the remains of this once-important trading town is a journey back in time to medieval Montenegro.
Arrival in Budva, the popular coastal resort on the Adriatic coast, in the evening. The city impresses with its old town characterized by Venetian architecture, its narrow streets, and its picturesque location right on the sea.
Day 6: Budva – Cetinje – Njeguši – Kotor – Budva
The day begins with a drive to Cetinje , the former royal capital of Montenegro. Nestled in an impressive mountain landscape, the city tells the story of the country's eventful history. A stroll through the historic center, with its palaces, monasteries, and museums, makes Cetinje's former importance as the political and cultural heart of Montenegro palpable.
The journey continues to the idyllic mountain village of Njeguši, the birthplace of many Montenegrin princes. This small village is known for its centuries-old tradition of producing Njeguši ham and cheese. A tasting of these specialties awaits you at a traditional smokehouse.
A spectacular panoramic road with countless hairpin bends then leads down to the Bay of Kotor, the only "fjord" in Southern Europe. Along the way, there are impressive views of the deep bay, the steep cliffs, and the sparkling sea.
In Kotor, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the UNESCO-protected Old Town. The Mediterranean flair of this former trading city unfolds amidst narrow streets, historic buildings, and small squares. Sights visited include the imposing city walls, the Cathedral of St. Tryphon (exterior view), and the bustling parade ground.
Return to the hotel in Budva in the evening.
Day 7: Budva – Dubrovnik – Neum
Today is dedicated to one of the highlights of the trip: Dubrovnik, the legendary "Pearl of the Adriatic". After driving along the picturesque coastal road and crossing the border into Croatia, the view opens up to the Old Town, gleaming in brilliant white and ochre – surrounded by the mighty city walls and the deep blue sea.
During a detailed, approximately two-hour city tour The full splendor of the UNESCO-protected old town is revealed: the imposing cathedral, the baroque Rector's Palace, the elegant palaces along the Stradun. and the impressive city walls, which make Dubrovnik one of the best-preserved historical cities in the Mediterranean.
Afterwards, there is free time to stroll through the narrow streets, enjoy a leisurely coffee, or let your gaze wander over the Adriatic Sea from the old port.
In the afternoon, we continue our journey along the coast to the Bosnian port city of Neum, picturesquely nestled between hills and the sea. Check into the hotel and enjoy dinner.
Day 8: Neum – Mostar – Sarajevo
The day begins with a drive to Mostar, one of the most fascinating cities in the Balkans. The city tour reveals a unique blend of Oriental and Central European heritage. The centerpiece is the world-famous Old Bridge (Stari Most ) , the city's landmark and a symbol of reconciliation. It spans the Neretva River with elegance, connecting the two historic districts, whose Ottoman architecture, bazaars, and mosques exude a unique charm.
The journey continues to the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo. A city tour reveals the full diversity of this vibrant metropolis, often called the "Jerusalem of the Balkans." Sights include the oriental-influenced Baščaršija bazaar, the Gazi Husrev-Beg Mosque, the Catholic Cathedral, and traces of Sarajevo's recent history.

Day 9: Sarajevo – Tuzla – Belgrade
In the morning, the route leads first to Tuzla, a city with a long history and significant industrial past. Its name derives from the word "salt"—Tuzla was once the most important salt supplier in the former Yugoslavia. A stroll through the charming old town reveals lively squares, colorful facades, and cozy cafes that characterize the cityscape.
Then continue across the border into Serbia. Through rolling hills and along wide plains, the journey leads back to the vibrant capital, Belgrade.
