Tour itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Split

Day 2: Krka Waterfalls National Park – Šibenik

The day is dedicated to one of Croatia's most spectacular natural landscapes: Krka National Park. Along the turquoise river, a world of lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and tranquil pools unfolds. The famous Krka Waterfalls are among the country's most beautiful natural wonders – a unique interplay of water, rock, and greenery reminiscent of a tropical oasis. Rushing water, fine spray, and dense flora lend this place an almost mystical atmosphere.

Then we travel to Šibenik, one of the oldest cities on the Adriatic coast. The historic old town, with its winding streets, stone arcades, and city walls, tells the story of the many eras that have shaped this port city. A striking highlight of the cityscape is St. James' Cathedral – an extraordinary structure built entirely without mortar from large stone blocks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Even from the outside, the cathedral impressively conveys the masterful stonemasonry and the unique character of the city.

A stroll along the picturesque harbor promenade rounds off the day before the return trip to the hotel.

Day 3: Zadar – Paklenica National Park

The day begins with a guided tour of Zadar, a city whose history stretches back over three millennia and whose old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A fascinating panorama of Dalmatia's past unfolds amidst Roman ruins, medieval churches, and Venetian palaces. Highlights include the Church of Saint Donatus, a masterpiece of pre-Romanesque architecture from the 9th century, and the Roman Forum, which once formed the city's political and religious center. Equally impressive is the Cathedral of Saint Anastasia, the largest church in Dalmatia.

During a tour through the old town, the city gates – the Sea Gate and the magnificent Land Gate, the old city walls and the Five Wells Square – are revealed as witnesses to Zadar's eventful history.

In the afternoon, nature takes center stage: a hike in Paklenica National Park, through the impressive Velika Paklenica canyon. Between steep rock faces, fragrant pine trees, and rushing streams, the trail leads deep into the heart of the Velebit Mountains – a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. (Moderate difficulty, approx. 1.5 hours, ascent and descent approx. 400 m)

Day 4: Split – Trogir

The day begins with a walking tour of the historic city of Split, Croatia's second-largest city after the capital, Zagreb. The centerpiece is Diocletian's Palace, a monumental structure dating back to 295 AD, originally built as a retirement residence for the Roman Emperor Diocletian and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Between its imposing walls, winding alleyways, and colonnades, Split reveals itself as a vibrant blend of antiquity and modernity.

Another highlight is the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, once the emperor's mausoleum, which was later converted into a church – a striking example of how history lives on here in stone.

In the afternoon, the journey continues to Trogir, a city captivating visitors with its unique island location and exceptionally well-preserved historic center. Separated from the mainland by a canal built by the Romans, the city center resembles an open-air museum. A stroll across the bridge into the old town begins a journey through over 2,000 years of history – from ancient foundations and Romanesque churches to Venetian palaces.

Trogir enchants with its Mediterranean flair, narrow streets and its unique blend of history, culture and joie de vivre.

Day 5: Boat trip to Kornati National Park

A day at sea – and at the same time, one of Dalmatia's most impressive landscapes: Kornati National Park. Over a hundred islands, cliffs, and rocks form a unique archipelago, considered the most beautiful island paradise in the Adriatic. Sailing through this labyrinth of islands, bays, and turquoise waters offers ever-changing perspectives and photo opportunities – a tranquil world of wind, salt, and light.

During the excursion, lunch will be served on board as the ship continues to glide through the rugged islands. The destination is Telašćica Nature Park, one of the largest and safest natural harbors in the Adriatic. Here, the deep blue of the sea meets the white limestone cliffs and the green of the pine trees – a breathtaking display of colors.

A walk leads to Lake Mir, a salt lake that fascinates with its mirror-like surface and high salt content. Famous from the film "The Treasure of Silver Lake," it lends the place an almost mystical atmosphere. A day that truly showcases the diversity of the Croatian coastal landscape.

Day 6: Plitvice Lakes National Park

A day immersed in pure nature: The Plitvice Lakes, one of Europe's most famous natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, unfold a landscape of almost otherworldly beauty. The expansive nature reserve encompasses centuries-old forests, clear springs, rushing streams, and 16 turquoise lakes connected by countless waterfalls.

The lakes are situated in a terraced fashion across the landscape – separated by natural travertine barriers that are constantly growing and changing due to limestone deposits. This creates a living work of natural art that is continually reshaped over time.

A walk along the wooden boardwalks leads through this fairytale setting – past babbling waterfalls, quiet forest paths, and crystal-clear water reflecting the green of the trees. Electric boats cross Lake Kozjak, and small trains facilitate the ascent between the different levels.

The Plitvice Lakes National Park shows how vibrant and changeable nature can be – a place that captivates every visitor.

Day 7: Free time

A day to breathe and enjoy. Time to let the impressions of the past few days sink in – on the beach, swimming in the clear sea, or taking a walk along the coast.

The hotel offers numerous opportunities for relaxation: enjoy a coffee on the terrace or simply soak up the peace and quiet and the Mediterranean atmosphere. Guests can also use the day for their own activities or a short excursion in the surrounding area.

A relaxing end to an eventful part of the journey.
