Travel itinerary

1. Day: Arrival in Montenegro

After landing in Tivat/Dubrovnik/Podgorica we drive towards Budva. On the way we will visit the medieval town of Kotor, UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will see highlights like the Cathedral of St. Tripun, the churches of St. Anne and St. Mary, the Prince's Palace or Napoleon's Theatre. Afterwards drive to Budva, where we will have a short walk through the city. Dinner and overnight stay in Budva.

2. Day: Dubrovnik - Ston - Neum

In the morning drive to Dubrovnik. Sightseeing with highlights like the monastery Frankos, the third oldest pharmacy in Europe, the princely castle or the cathedral. Afterwards drive on to Ston, famous for its enchanting architecture. We finally reach Neum, the only coastal town in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dinner and overnight stay in Neum.

3. Day: Neum - Mostar - Sarajevo

After breakfast we will first go to Megjugorje, the famous place of pilgrimage. After visiting the holy places, we will drive to Mostar, with its famous bridge. We continue to the Bosnian capital Sarajevo, where we will have dinner and overnight stay.

4. Day: Sarajevo - Jajce - Banja Luka

Today we start with the sightseeing of Sarajevo. We will see the old town of Bash-Carsija, the Begov Mosque, the Emperor Mosque as well as the Orthodox and Catholic Cathedral. Afterwards drive to Jajce. The architecture of the city is influenced by the empires of Austria and the Ottomans. We will make a detour to the famous Pliva waterfalls and the pilgrimage site Podmilacje. Afterwards drive to Banja Luka, dinner and overnight stay.

5. Day: Banja Luka - Gjakovo - Osjiek - Vukovar - Belgrade

In the morning visit of Banja Luka, capital of the Republic of Srpska. Unique architectural monuments such as the Orthodox Church of the Redeemer with golden domes await us. On our way to Belgrade we will stop in Osijek, a small town with a charming baroque architecture. We will see the cathedral of Djakovo as well as the city of Vukovar, where testimonies of the Yugoslavian war await us. In the evening we reach our hotel in Belgrade, dinner and overnight stay.

6. Day: Belgrade - Dedinje

First, we visit the capital of Serbia with the Kalemegdan Fortress, the Republic Square, the People's Theatre or Knez Mihajlova Street with the Parliament and of course the Cathedral Church. In the afternoon we will make an excursion to Dedinje, the noble quarter of Belgrade, where the royal castles of the Karagorgevic dynasty are located. Dinner and overnight stay in Belgrade

7. Day: Belgrade - Sremski Karlovac - Novi Sad - Belgrade

Trip to Sremski Karlovac, where we visit the old patriarchy with the cathedral church. Afterwards we visit the Fortress Petrovar near the town of Novi Sad, with a unique panoramic view over the Danube. Afterwards we visit the monastery Novo Hopovo from the 16th century, then we take a boat trip on Danube and Sava (duration approx. 2 hours). In the evening optional excursion “Belgrade by night”. Dinner in a typical restaurant with music in the Skadarlija district. Overnight stay in Belgrade.

8. Day: Belgrade - Departure

Depending on flight time free time in Belgrade, transfer to airport.
