Day 2 : The “old” and “new” Belgrade

The morning is dedicated to the Serbian metropolis. A comprehensive city tour begins at the Kalemegdan Fortress, which stands majestically above the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers and has formed the strategic heart of Belgrade for centuries. From here, the route leads along Knez Mihailova, the city's elegant promenade, which impresses with its stately architecture and vibrant arcades. Another cultural highlight is the Church of Saint Sava – one of the world's largest Orthodox religious buildings. Its monumental appearance and spacious interior convey a powerful sense of deeply rooted religious tradition.

The focus then shifts to the city's contemporary side. A guided tour explores neighborhoods that have transformed into creative epicenters in recent years. Former industrial areas now serve as inspiring venues for art, music, and urban life. In Savamala, right on the Sava River, renovated warehouses stand alongside alternative cultural spaces. The Dorćol district combines modern living spaces, cafés, and galleries and is often called "Belgrade's Manhattan," while Skadarlija, with its cobblestone streets and artists' bars, exudes the flair of Paris's Montmartre.

The evening concludes with a shared meal at the traditional restaurant "Dva Jelena". The establishment, whose history dates back to 1832, combines classic Serbian cuisine with a warm, historic atmosphere, often enhanced by traditional live music.
